2024 International Fireworks Championship

September 6-7, 2024 | Turtle Creek Stadium | Traverse City, Michigan, USA

Returning to Traverse City after a successful debut the year prior, the International Fireworks Championship expanded to two nights in 2024, welcoming 6 international competitors and nearly 16,000 fans in total.

Despite unseasonably cooler temperatures and rain leading up to night one, fans remained engaged and excited to see some of the world’s best pyrotechnicians show off unique displays synchronized to music of their choosing. Each evening also concluded with a special grand finale with last year’s champions, Team Germany, and the judges each programming a finale display.

6 international competitors each programmed a 12-15 minute display with up to 1,000 events synchronized to music.

Each evening then ended with a grand finale, with last year’s winners, Team Germany, on display Friday night, and the judges display on Saturday.

Filling the standard stadium seating, suites, and field level chairs, including a VIP section, both nights were near sellouts, with many fans returning after an incredible experience in 2023.

Live Entertainment

Keeping fans engaged prior to sunset, French magician and illusionist Maxence Vire performed a live set on stage, visited suites, and roamed the stadium for small group entertainment.

Saturday evening also featured the legendary Riders In The Sky who performed an hour-long set on the main stage.
